Texan Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Runs everywhere. No apparent weakness (at least nobody has been able to exploit). Clumsy technique, but run machine, quite literally. I can't seem to think of anyone who has batted this well over such a long-ish period of time in this millennium. Thoughts?

Vijy Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 the best batsman since bradman probably in tests. clutch player in ODIs, but not well-suited for the modern ODI game in general (since he cannot score at a SR of 100+ often). and a mediocre T20 player. velu and bahubali 2

ShoonyaSifar Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Why not Ponting with 11200 runs@61 or Kallis with 11500 runs@59 or Sanga with 12400 runs@58..each of them played over 125 tests and maintained those high averages. Smith in comparison has 6900@65..can he maintain that same standard as he scores the next 5000 runs? Ponting IIRC was averaging around 75 in a 5-6 years period scoring 6000+ runs
