Coz that batting line was very weak. Haven't even represented their state teams yet.

Exactly, Yes it's inexcusable,but experience does count.

We need mental conditioning coaches/researchers at all levels, can't believe BCCI with so much $$$$ doesn't seem to invest in the mental aspect of the game.

I wasn't expecting  them to do very well.. But when you need under 5 in last 8-9 overs you need to take it home.

 

They have played competitive cricket, it's not players who are picked off the street

Most of them are coming from u19 and they are playing against some international experienced players. None other than Mavi has even played IPL.

Both BD opening pacers look decent. Decent pace as well. Sumon Khan seems quicker than Hasan Mahmud.

Let's count the u-23 players not picked in this side - Prithvi Shaw, Shubamn Gill, Devdutt Paddikal, Rituraj Gaekwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Anmolpreet Singh, Priyam Garg, RInku Singh, Ricky Bhui. Add likes of Ishan Kishan, Anukul Roy, Ryan Parag.

 

The team selected was not even the u-23 B team. Thats no exscuse for the losses, but do not conclude we have no batting talent.

Arey Bhai, players involved in domestic tournaments were not picked. Most of these players haven't even played FC cricket and are picked from straight u19. Yash rathod, chinmay sutar, siddharth Desai, Aryan juyal, rekhade, shokeen, Sharath, etc are just u19 players.

Most of them you mentioned  who are any good are openers, Indian team does not need opener in lois and t20s..

The ones who are openers not are not that great or offer anything different to this team.

 

What is point in adding them??There is no middle order talent in this country who are wow worthy and India certainly does not have any thumpers in t20s  who can bash the ball from ball one. Raina inspite of all his short ball weakness was part of Indian team for one reason, he could start thumping the ball from ball one.Do you think we have any Rainas?

Several of them were picked from U 23. Atleast 10 made their list A debut in this tournament.

Have you watched all of them bat? Obviously U 19 route in India doesn't focus on T20 so next raina might not come through this.
