is it for the kids ?

Ofcourse they will be the prime market where parents will be obligated to subscribe for their kids, but Disney+ has been a massive hit among. people who are 25-35 as it just 15 years ago when some of these 25-35 folks went through the Disney's golden days. From what I heard, they have basically uploaded pretty much all of their old content and made it available with the subscription so its nostalgia for many folks of different ages.

Depends. They own Star Wars, Marvel,Pixar and also ABC and ESPN along with original Disney content

I think they also own 20th century Fox studios if I remember.

they probably have stake in a lot more content creators as well

Thats a lot of content. Netflix and Amazon were smart enough to realize this and started moving towards original content and obviously Disney can more than afford that.

they own everything basically after their merger with fox.

The truth is Netflix probably has 4-5 hit series which are globally acclaimed which they made (ie majority have seen) for adults. I am thinking maybe Narcos, Stranger Things, The Crown, Orange is the new black etc

Compare that to the entire Marvel MCU, Star wars. Its called being crushed by content. I pirated the Madalorian and its all what people are talking about.

If Disney basically even reduces Netflix global uses by 20% its going to be game over for them unless they tie up with an even bigger beast in Amazon who are looking to get into sport content etc.
