But Saini should have debuted against WI in test series at home but even there they played Ishant/Umesh.

Moreover, Umesh Yadav's away bowling stats are much worse than his home stats.  So, playing him abroad is not automatic. 

 

Just for fun, I'd love to see this test team in NZ - long tail, but a shudder-worthy Indian pace battery.

Oh yeah ... I'd totally forgotten that.  I was just dreaming of a 5-man fearsome Indian pace attack :-).

Bit of pace on the pitch today he bowled  very well. There is a hard length which he bowls is very hard to get away. He got hit only when he missed the mark.  He needs more overs under his belt.  Hope Kohli doesn't drop him.
