someone Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 And they talk about intolerance! He was brave to talk about his RSS links, and hopefully, he remains brave and doesn’t backtrack, as he is and will be attacked big time.... sergio04 1

Others like Sonam, Tapsee, are posers. When RSS is equated to ISIS by celebs and Muslims, very few people correct them.

maniac Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 I got introduced to the RSS shakha during my first year college. I was living with my aunt (dad’s sister) and uncle that year. My uncle’s nephew was an ABVP student leader. He was actually a caricature of what you imagine of an ABVP student to be if you believe in stereotypes. Typical overgrown guy who looks older than his age with a tilak on his forehead, sitting outside the university drinking chai, smoking cigarettes and chewing guthka all day with his buddies but a very nice guy nevertheless. Obviously he ended in New Jersey now. I had a great time In the shakha. In fact I did not have any idea or bias that we see these days when we hear about RSS. My family on dad’s side were always anti-Congress and anti-communist so may be I had some inherent bias but I didn’t even have a fully formed political opinion those days. These days every kid with a Social media account has an opinion but it wasn’t that strong among most people at least in my age group those days because I never recollect having political discussions ever with my friends growing up save 1-2 times if I have to guess. I went with an open mind and trust me it was a great experience. However my uncle was a lifelong congressman. He didn’t approve of me joining a shakha and called my parents and told them that how my future was in jeopardy and how I am blocking all my prospects of going abroad or getting a government job (well played by him. 2 things that touch the nerve of every Indian parent ever) by potentially joining the wrong crowd. So that was the end of that. Anyways now when I think back about it, my uncle was a wonderful guy, Well educated and someone I have great love and respect for. However he never had an open mind when it came to the RSS or BJP. He was rigid in his views about this. Typical of every congressman, Left-wing or so called “liberals” we encounter these days. This is no different from the Mindset of the crowd we see today. You just can’t convince them or try to reason with them. No matter how many examples you give them they will stick to their guns of RSS being extremist or equivalent of the Taliban. That’s a battle we can never win. So just enjoy guys like Shah,Modi,Yogi going about their business and the libbus whine and cry. Let’s just hope Nature will take its course and hopefully our future gens will be a lot more proud of their culture and heritage eventually and understand what our culture has been through and how we finally win the battle. sergio04 and Laaloo 2

If you don’t see The usual traffic of desi uncles in sweaters and monkey caps j-walking and running On the road between traffic then it’s a case for concern :) Edited March 12, 2020 by maniac
