They asked him, in a very condescending manner at that, as to why he and the rest of the group were sleeping on the tracks. He said the track was at slight elevation vis a vis the rest of the ground and hence slightly cooler in comparison because there was nothing to obstruct the wind. He also said that there was the possibility of there being snakes in the grass below. Hence they slept on/ near the tracks. And they thought that due to the lock down there would be no trains plying. Its just very sad. So was the lack of empathy and the almost derisive tone used in the interview. i can imagine some loud mouthed **** jurno shouting into the camera uncouth and utterly insensitive. I dont miss Indian news channels.

I dont miss Indian news channels. Extremely insensitive. That survivor had lost his brother in law/brother in the mishap. The anchors/journos were just interested in appearing holier than thou, and then wanted to fix blame. No empathy whatsoever. This template is the Modus Operandi. Rush to a tragedy, try and act all hurt/angry/holier than thou. Go back to the studio and try and fix blame. There is something seriously wrong with the way our News channels work. At a very ethical level. Edited May 12, 2020 by Mariyam
Singh bling Posted May 14, 2020 Author Posted May 14, 2020 Two major accidents in UP and MP, 14 migrant workers died and several injured https://zeenews.india.com/video/india/two-major-accidents-in-up-and-mp-14-migrant-workers-died-and-several-injured-2283369.html
Clarke Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Road accidents by themselves must have reduced a lot in lockdown, knowing how dangerous Indian roads are in general. indian roads are multi purpose, part footpath/park, part animal shelter, part racing track, part practice track, part cricket pitch and what not.

If they are sending people back , states will have to make arrangements in Shramik trains or buses.
