Sachin fans in current Indian Team

Secondly as far as playing clutch knocks is concerned sachin ranks very low in my list.I have seen dozens of player who inspite of having a much shorter career have played more clutch innings than sachin.Let alone Smith I am damn sure that Hashim Amla will rank much higher than him in this aspect and I am ready to prove it.

 

What separates sachin from Lara ,Waugh ,Gavaskar or kohli other than longevity?.I don't care about hypothetical scenarios,tell me what's so special about him that he should rank ahead of them in tests.

Actually Kallis averages more than him with the bat and he was also a bowler but still  fans call sachin the GOD of cricket ,now that's another   reason I think he is overrated.

Well said, in the end that is what makes the game survive , hence we can call Sachin and Dhoni the GODs of game, atleast in India. Each country can have its own GOD and we are all used to that.

Calling someone God can be used against 'us'. Westerners and turncoats will in their ignorance say Indians are like this they have billions of Gods no wonder they make an other human their God, all their God stories were created like this perhaps etc although what we mean by God and what they perceive are totally different.

That’s the greatness of our religion, we consider Buddha as one of the 10 avatars of Vishnu, Rama was a marydapurush (you know the meaning I assume). God becomes a super sensitive subject only for those Abrahamic religions not for us.

Agreed,  we can worship anything and that is the beauty, only a devoted person can understand that.   

Devotion doesn't come from analyzing in isolation, it is meta physical and people like Sachin and Dhoni are able to manifest that.
