Clarke Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 The most defensive bowler of all time. Puts everyone in and around slips & gully to prevent the single to third man SK_IH 1
MechEng Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 McGrath and Steyn share a lot of similarities in approach. McGrath bowls in the corridor, Steyn sticks to outswing and never bowls inswing unless the ball reverses. Both ran through batting with simple approach. Someone like Anderson who has diverse skill is a great bowler but not as lethal as McGrath/Steyn even after having more skills than both.

Macgrath bowled out in corridor back of good length. Steyn would go fuller for outswing. He wouldn't even hesitate to bowl half volleys. While from McGrath, you would hardly get any half volleys. Cricketics Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 In our lifetime: - Trump will one day accept covid19 wasn’t hoax - Modiji will accept that notebandi albeit correct idea, wasn’t organized well. -Liberals in India will understand one day that Rahul uncle wasn’t the right leader. - Dhoni fans will accept one day that he overstayed. But in our lifetime we will never see RKT bhaiya ever accept ki he called Mcgrath” defensive by mistake. This great defense by RKT will forever continue. Jai Hind Trichromatic 1

Imagine if Warne never played for Australia and McGrath had to lead the entire bowling attack, would that affect his bowling style? When Steyn bowled against India in 2010/11, he never had a legendary spinner to support him except for a good bowler in Morne Morkel, yet he single handedly destroyed Indian batting line up with just late outswing. Had Sachin and Laxman not scored runs at crucial times , India were 100% getting white washed.
