Last act was awesome, elevated the movie. Don't fall for these reviewers, they mostly do clickbait nonsense. all the tamil reviewers that i follow gave mixed to poor reviews ( all all are left leaning pro-dmk ) i really love blue sattai reviews for his roasts and he roasted odyssey as expected

velu Posted July 18 Posted July 18 i have not watched sheep detective ( only morning shows in blore ) .. but saw good reviews for a long time and i recommended to my sister in laws and brother in law in France to watch they were scolding me for recommending this movie
Gollum Posted July 18 Posted July 18 (edited) @velu there is no genuine IMAX in India. Watch it on any screen, if you (or your wife) like it, you can try out so called IMAX later. Edited July 18 by Gollum

Nice entertaining movie. Evil Dead Rise was slightly better, but horror/gore fans should check this one out. 8/10 from my side. Missed the post-credits but quite interesting the direction they are taking this franchise in. Odyssey was a much better experience, the kind of movie you get 4-5 times a decade. It is a different kind of movie. I always see what the movie is about before watching lol If the subject is not my favorite subjecti would pass even imdb 8.0 mark movies. velu 1

vvvslaxman Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Editor of Odyssey seemed to have very hard and fast rules saying that anything that doesn't advance the story gotta go. They were under pressure reduce to under 3 hour film because of IMAX limitations. IMAX allows maximum of 3 hours. I am sure uncut movie has more details. That will be released later usually.
vvvslaxman Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Our fans love to compare one sh** movie with another sh** movie and brag about it :)

We probably won't even get deleted scenes let alone an extended cut. I don't remember any Nolan movie which had deleted scenes released.
vvvslaxman Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Few of the technical aspects. First movie to entirely shot in IMAX camera. Close up conversation was impossible with previous gen IMAX camera as it makes a lot of noise. So Nolan wanted the IMAX engineers to come up with a solution. Then they added a sound proof housing for the camera. They have a name for this new set up. Keighley. Even without housing it weighs 300 pounds. Adding a soundproof enclosure made it heavier. So they used 6 member to carry the camera all the time. Because of this bulky nature eye contact between actors became a problem. So they added a mirror to it.
