Dhurandhar's promotions seem all over the place.. it will be either a blockbuster through word of mouth or will tank badly.

 

Ranveer Singh's Kantara controversy didn't help either.

@Lord case in point..  Aditya Dhar seems to have miscalculated.. promotions have been miniscule level.  Lack of social media hype post trailer drop.

 

Hopefully word of mouth saves this movie as I want it to do well.

3.5 hours long movie, and it is just part 1. 30 minutes ads in PVR, 20 minutes interval, travel to/forth and parking jhamela. Too long the process.

• No pan india promotion. Ranbir kapoor did a big pre-release function in Hyderabad. So did SRK in chennai
• No dubs. Could not find telugu dub till now.
• No interviews to any media house. Vanga gave interviews left right and center. Ranbir and Co participated in a game show with the legend Baalayya. Ranvir singh thinks monkey antics as PR.
• A tier 1 hindi star can make 50+ crores in telugu market. Animal made 60+ crores and Jawaan made 80+ Crores. Ranvir and Co missing out on this,

 

BTW, i am going to see this. The concept is cool.

Yeah want this movie to do well...  But distributors and Dhar has messed it up big time.

 

For such a big budget movie they f**ed it up on many levels.

 

Ranveer may not survive another disaster.

The concept is unique. I believe the movie will be rated very well and will be liked by multiplex going jantaaa.

The topic of her post is the payments for positive PR of the film to some individuals. PR is of course about money. But it also about events and press meet's.  Not just to pay hush money to some dumb influencers.

 

The issue is they are doing nothing.

Trailer was longer than 3 min so instagram reach got affected... plus it was A rated.

 

Cast was awesome yet no interviews or something like that as you said.

Film exceeds run time of 3h 30minn+.. A rated and no Women or family appeal are huge challenges for them.

 

A lot of things have to go right for them to even break even

 

War 2 with a trash script and awful acting got destroyed despite going full on with Promotions.

They sold the theatrical rights for 168 crores which is on the lower side. And 400 crore for hindi market is NOT going to be difficult.   If the film is decent, it will make it.  45% of country has hindi as primary language.

 

But to reach the levels of Animal is going to be difficult.

Reviews are good for Dhurandhar... Hearing Akshaye Khanna yet again stole the show.

 

Ranveer didn't had a major role.

Started Beast in me . Based on a true story. I like both leads. Claire Danes.  I loke her. Besides movies she did a great job in Homeland. Matthew rhys was terrific in Americans .Seems like there is a documentary and movie already made on this subject.  Gripping so far.
