Why? This would make sense if teams are playing for a tie. So you incentivize winning by giving it more points. That isn't the case here.

That isn't the case here. This is the case here but also you are giving the super over loser team something because it is actually a tie. I kind of like this approach where super over loser team will still get a point.

NRR and super-overs deciding is the best method to resolve a tie-breaker. ICC should learn from IPL and make a second super-over as well.

Also, there could be 5 teams on 16 if KXIP and KKR with both matches and top three lose to SRH, while have a rotation of losses MI losing to DC & beating RCB , DC beating MI and losing to RCB and RCB beating DC and losing to MI.
