Standards of Shield cricket are very average these days. Can only be judged once he plays test.

plus their flat pitches

They have Warner , a current GOAT in Smith, Smith clone in Labuchagne and now these two guys Pucovski and Green.. if they perform even moderately to their hype we are going to be in trouble on those flattest of pitches..

His batting is good but bowling is pretty average.

BANG average. Very good batsman though. Seriously good batting talent.

He struggled vs bumrah, Umesh and Siraj. But who wouldn't especially in those Condtions?

I bet he will thwart the poms when they tour for ashes.  Imo his ceiling is way better than Kyle who is ofcourse a bowling all rounder.

Kyle doesn't have the skillset to survive outside n.z and England.

but he is averaging 22 with ball. that should be even more impressive on flat pitches

Bouncy flat pitches is not the same as indias flat pitches.

Aussies pitches have springy bounce.

His ability to bowl 140+ kph consistently impressed me.  Obviously dude will learn as he plays more shield cricket atm batting is his strong suit.  Great potential overall

I think he will play as batting AR and over his career become a batsman who bowls occasionally. I do not see the same level of bowling ability as someone like, say, kallis or even mcmillan.

What a player. He struggled against a goat level player like bumrah. Who wouldn't? He even played him decently at times. He has serious potential. Wait till poms come here.
