Guys like AB are special Prodigies who probably never  had a problem getting into any side. I am sure  the moment they stepped on to any trials at any level they were unanimously picked because clearly they are a cut above the rest.

 

There is a same pattern that is happening here which we saw with Kedar Jadhav who year after year was performing in domestics and doing well In the IPL, had stellar strike rate and average but clearly you could tell he is not cut out to have a great international career. You can revisit my arguments with his early supporters like @rahulrulezz and @TNAmarkFromIndia.

International cricket is a different ball game.

 

Good luck to sky but there is no injustice done to him, he just wasn’t a standout enough in a highly competitive domestic circuit but now yes he has the eyeballs on him and he has earned it. Let’s see what he can do. Comparing him with an ATG is an insult to him, the ATG and the intelligence of the hardcore fans.

Good luck  to him though. Seems like a good guy so I am rooting for him but my assessment was for his cricketing ability.

SKY was a prodigy too who is yet to get his chances. He was the original Mumbai basher and the kind of game he had meant he didn't have very high average in 50s in FC.

I definitely don’t like Jadhav anymore and I absolutely hate his batting. I don’t like cricketers, I like players who can win for India

 

Kedar, IMO, was a beast when he played for the first year. His batting average of 48 and strike rate of 110 proves it. However, he really changed his game after spending too much time with Dhoni. He wanted to become like Dhoni and ruined his strength which was no balls and 100 plus strike rate.

SKY has earned a right now to play for India. Denying him that opportunity will be a travesty. He is 28 but is fitter than most youngsters and can easily play for another 7-8 years if not more. He is a genuine middle order batsman, and could along with Shreays Iyer become a bedrock of our LOI teams.

 

But does the TM have enough foresight to start thinking behind the top 3 and give our newer players better opportunities?

 

A top 6 with 4 players, Rohit,Kohli, Dhawan, Jadhav touching 35 or more in the 2023 WC will be a perfect recipe for disaster. Better to start planning the transition now.
