Eng even got bowled out in 43 overs but it was seen as okay as that is the style of cricket Eng wanted to play, and therefore going through such games to help players develop that aggressive mindset including looking for a boundary (if not more) option almost every over. 

This is the type of approach we needed in the first 2 games. I even mentioned in 1-2 comments that we should rather be all out in 40-45 overs for 300 odd than do tuk tuk for 50 overs and window dress the scorecard. Even the west Indies were all out in this fashion in a few games, blitzing away at near impossible targets without worrying about losing wickets. You still lose, but you go down fighting instead of playing safe and scoring cheap runs when the contest is dead and the opponent is not bowling with as much intensity.

You are just keeping Dhoni in decline in mind. Dhoni was master at such innings till about circa 2014. By far the finest at playing percentage cricket in ODI history.

Infact last match was kind of replica of Dhoni-Jadeja partnership at Kochi 2013 against England.

Long long way to go for Hardik. The first 90 in this series was his first ODI 50 in nearly 3 years. Has hit just 1 100 at the top level (international+domestic). Has the talent to improve that record massively.

You need out of the box thinking in this modern era. There is a reason why we are losing major tournaments and winning dead rubber matches, it's precisely because of this predictable strategy

I'm not saying to not play shots just saying they shouldn't get carried away with scoreboard pressure. first over Ind was 20/0. Starc basically gifted free runs. After that with all the risk taking, India was only able to score 60 runs in the next 9 overs. Dhawan has declined in his output and he is not getting any younger. Need to replace him otherwise he will take it deep like Indian cricketers in the past. After 13 overs, Ind was 100/4. Just imagine if India was 80 or 90 for 1 or no loss. I would have taken it any day. Hardik and Rahul can come with full license to go after it from ball one. Currently no player apart from Pandya, Rohit, Kohli (as a batsmen not captain) have the mettle to adapt to the changing game. I would even narrow it down to Pandya when compared with the English team
