Dear Team India,

Ticku-taaku.  Ticku-taaku.  Patthu naaLthaan keedhu.  (translation: "Tick tock tick tock. Only 10 days left")

It's been a week since Australia.  Enough giving interviews to discuss Gabba, praise both captains, all coaches, team spirit etc. etc.  Get back into the groove and prepare for Root's baays.  Leave the hangover celebrations to the fans.

Can't agree more. Great job wining the test series, but we need to move on now. Hope the support staff & team is working on the same, unbeknownst to us.

I just hope Mayank plays - that guy is a beast at home and can put up that big double hundred that the team will need.  But unlikely for T1, especially if all the top order bats are fit - Puji, Rohit, etc.

I have a feeling Gill is going to get dismissed cheaply a couple of times early in the series....

Gill has very good average in India. After the last knock he will score big. The confidence he got against aussie pacers should help. If he can survive 10 overs he can score lot of runs considering the english spinners.

We are not done till our coach motormouth thunders "this is the greatest test series win ever in the history of cricket".

Contrast how after the 2018 series win our coach Captain duo roared "we are in the same league as WI and Aus sides" to the stories this time about how greatly Kohli planned everything for Rahane and what a great coach Shastri is.

Man you need let hime enjoy. He did setup strategies for us to win and gave confidence. We all didn't like him but we need to accept he is a great coach for our setup. Shastri was never gifted or talented like many others during his time. He made most of his limited capabilities may be this is what is helping in coaching as well.

Englands 2-0 win over Sri Lanka could be blessing in disguise for us. So both teams might start the series on equal footing atleast in the public and media perception as opposed to India being overwhelming favorites till now. Good for the team to get the focus back and climb the England hill.

In Chennai typically new ball swings for 30 mins. First one hour is crucial. Broad Anderson will be fresh and if Gill can pass those crucial minutes batting should grt easier till day 2 lunch when odd ball will start to spin.
