I Couldnt go beyond 120-125 for BJP next time. Its going to be tough for sure.

I have spent some time among them when I was in Mumbai 5-6 years. Seen things closely. About Marathwada, SS won 11 out of 18-19 they had contested. I have lived in Marathwada and Vidarbha for many many years. Never noticed lot on Pawar but I knew NCP/INC combination is strong. Mariyam 1

Yoda-esque Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Meanwhile uddhav is posing in ajmer dargah with chaddar...The secularism of Sena is complete.

Why would any Muslim (or anyone, for that matter) vote for Uddhav? If the general perception is that he couldn't be true to his 'own' , why would he be any better to the 'other'? If Uddhav's shenanigans are for votes from 'others', he is going to be disappointed. That said, what I find disturbing is the double standard. If a Muslim were to quote anecdotes from the Ramayan when making a point he is truly secular, but if a Hindu were to pay obeisance at a dargah he is 'sickular' / pseudo secular?

If a Muslim were to quote anecdotes from the Ramayan when making a point he is truly secular, but if a Hindu were to pay obeisance at a dargah he is 'sickular' / pseudo secular? Let’s compare when a Muslim goes to Shirdi to pay obeisance to a Muslim god-man like Sai baba? Paying respect means they are as good as Allah, worthy of worship. Can they pay respect Sai baba in Shirdi? Quoting Ramayana or calling Rama, Imam-e-Hind is not the same as paying obeisance at a dargah. When Hindus go to a dargah, they pay respect and worship him as good as any other god-man like Swmi-narayan ot Satya Sai-baba. Muslims consider only Allah worthy of worship and that is the difference Edited February 9, 2021 by coffee_rules

If a Muslim were to quote anecdotes from the Ramayan when making a point he is truly secular, but if a Hindu were to pay obeisance at a dargah he is 'sickular' / pseudo secular? The answer is in Raul's temple run during 2019 elections.Congress realized that they have neglected the Dharmics for long and hence his temple optics . As far as Muslims voting for Sena, the answer is simple.Sena is against BJP.It doesn't matter how corrupt a party is as long as that party is against BJP.It is for the the same reason ,that they vote for Congress ,UDF,TMC,SP. Through previous years, the Dharmics always rationalized and voted for Congress or any other party they felt could help.I am yet to see that from the Abhrahamics. They have been on Modis case from the get go.They couldn't even give him 5 years to prove himself ,such is the intolerance. So pardon me for thinking this way.I don't believe Muslims will ever vote for BJP and most Dharmics who were in the center or even a little left of center have realized that, stopped issue based rationalizing and are solidly consolidating behind BJP. And yeah,Muslims will never recite anything from Ramayana.Dont show me one or two you tube videos on that.It simply isn't convincing.

At Ajmer, most of the Qawwals sing na'ats which are specifically in praise of Prophet Mohammad ( PBUH). A dargah is not a place you go to pray. Others go there to have their wishes fulfilled. Khwaja Garib Nawaz is also known as "mushkilkusha" or the 'killer of difficulties' because he is supposedly capable of miracles. Even from his tomb apparently. Most of the people who go there tie threads on the lattice work near his tomb and make wishes. And its not a practice limited to Muslims. And that's how it has been for ages. Many 'Muslimer than thou' Muslims frown upon the practice of other Muslims visiting dargahs. So why does a Hindu visiting a dargah become pseudo secular?

I do t think he's been there before. If visiting a shrine is done for optics and not sincerely, one questions the motive. In this case,he's trying attract the Muslim vote. And that's why it's pseudo secularism.

No, we are not just discussing going to dargah by Hindus. The same mannat culture is there in many Hindu related temples, we don't see Muslims throng there. You said many Muslims quote Ramayana, but it is not the same as going to a dargah by Hindus. I am not judging Hindus going to dargah, had been to Fatehpur Sikri (Buland darwaza) and the M guide insisted on us to do a 'chadar chadao' at a dargah inside the complex. I have never done that and I refused, but he insisted saying many Hindus do it. Finally, I agreed to pay the money for a chadar as he claimed the money is going to poor people maintaining the complex (it is in a sorry state), and I believed him. But Uddhav Thackrey a staunch Hindu, not your average dargah going north Indian Hindu. He going to this dargah to pray for his well-being is not believable and is done for optics.
