This is typical indivudual centric poll which we hate. Win or lose we do as a country not as an individual. How on earth could you even have this medieval thoughts of losing . You speak like pre independence Rajahs of the country who sacrificed the overall independence of india to keep themselves safe..

Because in this the individual is imposing himself on the team, making monkey business on field and making mockery of the game by getting into needless squabbles with umpires, hurting confidence of talented youngsters through decision making that defies logic etc. Hence removing Kohli becomes more important and if series loss is a price to pay , so be it. By staying Kohli might win some meaningless home series , but he will continue to fail at crucial junctures and there is no indication in his long cricketing legacy that it will change.

Sorry bhai.  Not with the WTC at stake.

Shame on you.

Shame on this thread.

Shame on everyone who voted yes.

Hope to see u all after Poms get thrashed on Day 4.

Shame on everyone who thinks in linear manner. Or rather it's the lack of intellect that is ready to support tyranny at the expense of the greater good for the team.

Have you ever played cricket. India won 32 home tests and lost 3 in 10 years. People like you are scums on earth.

who is not making money from being a cricketer name one

needless squabbles with umpires: when? Does it impact result? Dhoni walked on the pitch with a play going on in IPL? Did it change anything . Paine abused umpires in Aus series.. Its a part and parcel of game in heat of the moment it happens.

talented youngsters: name one who hasnt got an opportunity in india colours except SKY. India had the highest debutants across all formats in last 5 years amongst top 5 Nations

Meaningless home series: that shows ur IQ Level. For WTC all series are considered equal. And overseas: we won 2 in Aus. We havent won in England but we have only toured England under Kohli ONCE. Same goes for SAF and NZ. ONCE In last 6 years. We have won overseas and home series against all barring those 2.

I am not even sure if you are Indian. Highly doubt it

losing is never good. In any case, if India underperforms Kohli will go. But that does not mean we will stop supporting a team we love. Losing at this juncture will also take the sheen away from the aus win. also, who is the replacement captain? Not Rahane, where his own place is not settled. The only current option from batsmen is Pujara.

It is very important for us to build a momentum, for eng series and wtc final. sa series. This is going to be a legacy-defining make or break year for indian test history. At this juncture, I dont wish a defeat, that too against a line-up which is no way better than india in indian conditions.

Never, ever root for an India loss.  Ever.  Even if they re-appointed Mohammed Azharuddin as captain.  I will kick and scream and protest and raise all kinds of hell (on my keyboard ) but when the team takes the field, it is "INDIA .... INDIA!!"

There is 10 other player playing whom we all love to watch. Its all about kohli's captaincy. A captain's poor decision- making cannot be the base of not supporting the team. supporting a cricket team comes from passion, has nothing to with regional politics, personal antics etc. You can never even see such discussion taking place in other sports forums.

Also decision making is subjective. When one is a Captain he has to take decisions. Some work some dont. Dhoni was excellent decision maker but lost to Aus 4-0. Eng 4-0. South Africa ;1-0. Nz 1-0. England Again: 3-1. Dhoni lost home series to England. Dhoni didnt have the guts to chase a 150 target in test in carribean and bailed out. But we still acknowledge he had great decision making prowess. And he did great in many areas. Kohli the same. Many decisions might not work and that doesnt mean we will want our team to lose. Pathetic losers like the OP and others should be booted out.

Here's what I really wish for in each of the next 3 matches:

(1) Kohli to play 400 balls (~250 runs) and have partnerships with Gill (300 balls, 200 runs) or Pujara (300 balls, 125 runs) that will effectively put the match/es away.

(2) Kohli, in consultation with the others in the brain-trust, to make inspired bowling changes and tactical moves to stifle the Poms.

(3) Indian fielders to take 100% of the easy chances and 50% of the half-chances that come their way.

(4) Innings victories.

I can put up with anything - MC BC gaalies, curing cramps of opposition, sheepish smiles, cringeworthy cliched press conference answers, arrogant behavior etc. etc.  Just win, baby!

And i think shame on the people who voted Yes. Its nauseating to see people keeping individual biases higher when compared to a series loss at home.

And why should anyone feel shame on voting in a poll with two opposite options? If you just want a yes-man, here's @Ravi_Shastri

And aren't you biased yourself in saying that? What if we win this series, are we going to win the WTC as well? What about the next tours of Eng/NZ/SA or even Oz? What of the fledgling careers of Kuldeep, Gill, Pant? Aren't you being blind in singling out 1 short term goal for a near 2 decades of our cricketing future?

You sound just like hypocrites who supported Dhongi even after our drubbings in 2011-12, then led to the sacking of Amaranth & shamelessly carried on till WC 2019. * he was finished in the 2015 WC but nah his baby(Kohli) had to have the baby sitter shepherd him to another humiliating loss in the 2019 WC.

We lost 2011 -12 not due to Dhoni but because we couldnt put a score of above 400 in any of the 16 innings across 8 tests. We didnt win Aus series because of Rahane but because batsmen scored runs.. and bowlers took wickets.. no batsmen needs extra motivation when they play for a country.. they play for the pride.. they dont play well because a captain is good or bad.. people forget the basics of winning a test match is by bowling and batting and fielding well.. its about a team.. not about one individual player..

Watch your tongue boy. I have not insulted you as an individual. You have perfect right to disagree with me, no need to get personal. I hope your parents have invested enough on you for you to present an argument as opposed to just resorting to abuse.

And questioning my nationality? Is that the best you can do when you have an alternative opinion. So by applying that same logic of yours, should I say that you are anti national because your love for one guy trumps the larger need of the team. Rahane has been 10 times the captain than Kohli can ever be in those three tests without throwing any of the usual tantrums.

Rahane has captained India in 4 tests.Dhoni won 8 of his first 10.  And supporting a teams loss makes u worse than scum. Sorry You are a first grade moron. No self respecting Indian can support a teams loss because they want their captain to resign who still is their best batsman by any stretch of imagination. Forget arguments. End of day win or lose we do as a team.

Dhoni has been one of the worst test captains in Indian cricket history. He brought back the 90s culture back in the team. One can't compare his LOI exploits with his failure in the long format.

By that logic Rahane can be the same if he is given the captaincy. Dhoni won 8/10 in first ten tests. But floundered later. You are making sweeping forecasts that india will do good under Rahane when you don’t have a crystal ball. Isnt it better to support a team so that they win under any circumstances under any captain than voting for indian cricket teams loss.

You are anti national who support a tyrant. You need to be removed from the forum just like you idol needs to be removed from captaincy.

Yes and the BCCI Cricket board and millions of Indians who support the indian team are all anti nationals. Why. Because india lost one test at home after 5 years against a top team after losing a toss and after missing their no 2 spinner and no 2 pace bowler.

No, they are not. That's what you are failing to distinguish. They are supporting the team because they love the team. You are supporting the team because you are fanboy of a tyrant. So you can't equate yourself with millions of  passionate fans even though you may want to project your motive is same as theirs which is not.

Yes so whoever supports a team they dont want their team to lose. Be it Rahane be it Kohli as a captain. I support the team. Not like you who will support the team when kohli leaves but now want them to lose because kohli is the captain. That in a nutshell is the difference between you and me. Trust matter clarified..OH and dont give me the most pathetic bullshit that

this is good for the team in long run that india lose the series..!

Playing for the team and winning is a matter of pride no matter the circumstances. One might not like a player or captain ( everyone has that likes and dislikes) but end of day no right minded individual will want the team to lose..

@RajBan@neel roy Cool it down gents

I am cool man. I am actually fine with Neel Roy supporting Kohli as a captain. But his audacity and lack of manner is astounding that he does not even think twice before calling somebody anti national and scum. I know some people do not understand the language of decency when in social media failing to understand there will always be somebody who can be more abusive than them, in whose eye they will be judged as anti national because they have a simple difference in opinion.
