Can Washington Sundar bat at 4-5 in ODIs ?

Who will they for drop Pandya in WTC?  Jadeja or Ashwin.  That would be a foolish imo.  With his new technique he may not last few balls with dukes in hand.  Jaddu far more valuable to use rough in Southampton.  Ash can take care of Nichols Latham & other players.  Pandya makes into my Eng test squad as pitch may vary from venues..  But not in WTC XI.

Who knows what are Kohli's plans. He may go with Pandya as the 3rd seamer with Ashwin, Jaddu, Bumrah and Ishant as main bowlers.

 

The shocking thing how can Pandya be expected to bowl in a Test 10 weeks from now if he isn't fit for bowling even one over in ODIs.

We can try replacing Dhawan with Sundar in the 3rd ODI and see how he does.

 

Won't play more slowly than Dhawan. 

 

We need an extra bowler with Kuldeep out of form and Krunal looking pedestrian.

 

These youngsters are very gutsy and he may surprise us with a 100+ SR innings utilizing the power-play better than seniors.

Rahul is an accumulator when batting in top 4. Pant should move to 4, Rahul to 5 and Sundar replaces Dhawan as opener. Ask him to be the aggressor and take risks. Nothing to lose there but that solves some of the problems. 

 

Ideally SKY in place of Kohli at 3 is the way to go but that's not happening.
