The problem with his statement is that he talks about cutting down pace and using it sparingly in T20s, if Umran can't control it. Umran's control was excellent in the middle 4 games. Which shows that he van control the ball at 150 k to 153 k. So why not talk about practicing control at full pace !! While Shastri's believes in pace in test matches, he somehow believes that trundlers are needed in white ball cricket. Perhaps the reason why Bumrah and Shami have bowled quickest in tests and slowest in T20s. And Shami was benched more often than not while picking wickets by the dozen in ODIs. Control cam come at pace too ... Steyn did it and Bumrah and Cummins are doing it. When will Indian oldies understand this !!
