If there's one change that I'd like to see is Siraj instead of Bhuvi in WT20.   There is clear daylight between both of them at how they are bowling in various stages of the game.  It's very unfair on him that he is still missing out.

Agree strongly.

Siraj Is amazing at the death and good at the beginning.

Should be in the World T20 squad in place of Bhuvi based on current form.

Saini not in the list? Really hope we get to see more of prithvi Raj Yarra, tall strong left arm seamer with pace, generates bounce, very impressive, same with Sushant mishra needs to settle in quickly in the Jharkhand state team, not many would have seen much of simarjeet singh from Delhi but he has some spark.

Shami was never as quick as these two. These two started pace evolution in India. Shami wasn't that quick when he first arrived. Was 135-140 bowler. Gained pace from 2016 onwards. Umesh Aaron quick from day one. Aaron hit 153 in domestic cricket.

Space evolution actually started under dravid, rp, sreesanth, ishant all started bowling quick from 2007 onwards, sreesanth hit 145kph many times in limited overs cricket, rp in the home series against Australia 2007 was consistently hitting 140kph plus, the sl series just before the 50 over world cup in 2007 agarkar started hitting pretty good speeds to, after that dhoni took over and all of our pacers went downhill, at one stage we had rp, sreesanth, Zak, Irfan, munaf, ishant, Ajit. Some got injured, some lost form, nehra was brought back in and dhoni started backing medium pacers like Praveen and Vinay, I remember Awana bowling well in Ipl 2012, rahul Shukla bowled quick.

Are we forgetting siraj for odi? He averages 23 in odi too in List A.

He should play odi next to shami and booms.

Dhoni ruined our cricket till he retired. Thank god. Don't give a damn about world cup. Tests reigns supreme. Then we can think of WCs.

Worst ever captain for pace bowling. He hated keeping to pace bowlers because it hurt his hands. Oh how sad.

Siraj needs to be a regular in ODIs from now on.

He was in the squad against England but did not get to play.

Saini can be in the first team. I was selecting max 4 pacers per team and so he has missed out based on current form and fitness.

And have included only those pacers who have come into prominence while playing for India or the IPL.

I have watched Yarra, Simarjeet and Sushant bowl lots of overs each. They are all above average but it's my personal opinion that atleast the first 2 are just short of international class. Sort of like Tushar Deshpande.

Sushant Is very young and lets see how he progresses.

Every single pacer regressed under him except Zak, he had no clue how to handle and manage pace bowlers, Manpreet gony should have been a regular in the India team after the first ipl, dhoni even brought back balaji in 2009 series against NZ, ishant was made to play countless odi games against SL etc, eventually ishants test form regressed and so did his pace, the worst captaincy I have ever seen was against Pakistan in the 2009 champions trophy game, Pak were 65-3 in 15 overs with Yousaf and Malik at the crease, they ended up with 300 plus, harmless captaincy, he even played unadkat ahead of Umesh in the Johanesburg test 2010.

Never liked Dhoni. Never will. Never cared for that idiot.

I dont give a damn about world cups. Tests matter to me more than WCs. He made us suffer in tests away from home. Pathetic loser. Cant stand that delusional idiot.

Atleast kohli encourages pace bowling.

We are fans of cricket. Cricket is meant for entertainment. I don't want to see trundlers with no skill bowl.

Let's be honest. Most of us get excited for fast bowling. Yea sure batting can be fun to watch on its own but fast bowling is what excites us. Nothing more pleasing to watch than a fast bowler hurl his thunderbolt. I pay money to watch for entertainment.

I dont pay money to watch fodders like unadkat bowl at

speeds of 125 km

This Is the first year since 2016 that Bumrah has not bowled in the 147 kph to 150 kph range.

He was much quicker in IPL 2017 to IPL 2020.

But Bumrah has crossed 149 kph in two different test matches this year.

Good that he's reserving his energy for t20 wc just after and like Steyn he knows how to up the ante in test cricket when needed, tries to extract whatever being offered from conditions, strip by hovering around 132-137 and steps up later

Gambhir would have been a terrific captain, should have got odi captaincy in 2010, Dhoni was never held accountable after the 8-0 against aus and eng, the only positive move he made was to get Rohit to open in the champions trophy 2013.

Yes, smart thing to do for Bumrah.

In fact Shami is doing the same too.

Agreed. Even in short format was he really that good ? Like seriously? He inhibited the growth of our pacers there too.

Sure he was good in 2009-2014 in short formats especially odi but like you said, he was never held accountable for test cricket. In odi it was a team effort. Gambir, yuvraj, sreesanth and co all played a huge role.

BTW not 8 0. It's actually 8 0 plus 2-1 loss at home to England ans then 1 0 loss to new Zealand as well iirc?

So 11-1.

11 *ing losses to one win.

I feel he really wants to win an icc tournament. I hope he does. Both him and shami deserve it.
