Most of Khsleel's deliveries have been 140 k to 142 k  with accuracy and bounce.

Top bowling.

Would love to read your deep analysis on Khaleel, EB. His bowling style, how effective it will be in Australia conditions, his strengths and weaknesses against other striker bowlers in the reckoning like Shami, Prasidh, Umesh, etc. And most of all, why hasn't he got a chance to represent India in any format till now, i.e., what holds him back?

He has already played ODIs and T20s for India.

Oh, I see. So, was his performance not impressive enough for him to find a consistent place? Is he in the scheme of things?

No,too much of Bhuvinism in his bowling in that period

He was always a wicket taker took quite a lot of wickets for SRH

I don't see any better left arm pacer than him currently in the country who are in mix of things

Thanks for explaining, Suhaan. So, is he a strike bowler or a death bowler? Is he similar in his utility to Nattu / Bhuvi (a death bowler) or Siraj / Shami (a strike bowler)?

He is an all phase bowler.

Khaleel has sharp pace and gets good zip off the deck. Plus he is tall and gets steep bounce when he hits the deck hard.

His accuracy seems to have improved and so has his slower ball, which he has not over used this time around. And he gets sufficient seam movement.

His game sense isn't bad either and he can read the pitch and match situation decent enough.

He did play white ball cricket for India a few years back ... but when he got his chance, he suddenly changed his bowling style and tried to be a medium paced swing bowler. from a hit the deck bounce and seam bowler.. Which led to what was on the cards ... he was dropped.

If he can stick to what he has done this IPL ... that is basically be a hit the deck seam bowler with good bouncers, yorkers, slower balls as variations, he can be ideal for Australia.

Where he can score over Umesh, Shami and a few others in Australia ... is the natural bounce that he gets and his high release point.

He would surely be my strike bowler against Pakistan, whose batsmen have a known weakness against steep bouncers (ODI WC 2019 - opening match - Pak Vs WI).

I was wondering why did you prefer Prasidh over Khaleel in your WT20 XI? I'd pick Khaleel blindly over Prasidh, who seems incapable of thinking on his feet, and carries on with his instructions like an automaton regardless of the context (feeding wide yorkers to tailenders, baffling his bowling coach Malinga in the dugout).

i saw his bowling in FLAT Patta Brabourne. He was the only Pacer who succeeded that day and got 3 wickets , bowled fast and accurate.

He and Umran Malik are the PICKS of this IPL and I am sure selectors will pick both of them in the coming T20 Matches.

both these bowlers have Out bowled our main fast bowlers (Shammi/Bumrah/ Prasidh /Umesh /Hardik /Nattu /Bhuvi/Avesh Khan)  and so I am sure these two will be picked soon.

The trundler king Harshal has been OK not too impressive.

Pakistan will be flatlined badly

Bumrah

Prasidh

Umran

Can't play any of these or add in khaleel. In aussie conditions.

Can't say anything we will have a good look at them in Asia Cup games & we will sort out our planning.  Pak is a good T20 side.

How quick are Sushant Mishra & Rajvardhan Hangargekar?

@rkt.india @Mesky99 @express bowling @Suhaan

Sushant is deceptively quick, am pretty sure he bowls around 138-144kph range. Hangarekar puts in a lot effort thou needs some adjustment in his run up and jump before landing, hangs in the air a bit to long before release.

I remember even vinay koomar bowling  140+

Hassan Ali, fahim ashraf and Shaheen I'd the slowest test attack. Backup Umesh is better than all Pak pacers combined

Faheem is a bowling A/R.  He is a strict swing/seam bowler.   Comparison of Umesh with these jokers is laughable.  Umesh has more than a few ATG match winning spells in Asia.  In fact after Shami he's our greatest pacer in Asian conditions.

Only Shaheen could perhaps repeat similar feats in time but even that is doubtful.

Because of the role that I assigned him in the 11 based on team composition.

IMHO Prasidh has the most dangerous good length and back of a length off stump / channel balls in India, especially on bouncy or zippy tracks ( like the ones we may find in most places in Australia  )

With 2 good death bowlers in my side ( Bumrah and Harshal )  I want the best possible wicket taking option in PP for Australian conditions. And that maybe Prasidh unless things go differently from now on.

Prasidh can seam the ball both ways and gets outswing too with the new ball ... and does this with both steep bounce and pace. He has troubled almost all batsmen with his off stump or channel balls and short balls unless it's the death overs.

Yes, he is not a good death bowler yet but those wide yorkers were because of the field that Samson set. 4 fielders on the off and almost no protection on the leg means a pacer can't bowl on the stumps.

No he cant. Prime umesh shits on shaheen anywhere in Asia. Umesh is SG ball goat along with shami bhai.

Only mcgrath can compete.

We will find out if Cummins is up to the task. I doubt it but we shall see.

Bhai issue is will our selectors choose this attack ?
Given the way our selection committee works (and with our shaky batting lineup), they will select a squad of  Bumrah, Bhuvi, Chahal, Harshal and Jadeja to accomodate "DEPTH" in the batting.

Umran paired with Bumrah and Prasidh will be a mouth watering bowling lineup in Auzzie conditions.

One out an out pacer who can bowl 150k.
One all phase pacer who can hurl yorkers and seam up deliveries at 145k.
One tall pacer, who can break the ribs of a batsman with his awkward bounce at 142k.

These 3 can cause havoc at the WACA and Gabba.
