Among current Indian setup Shami bhai has the best short ball. 
 

Bumrah should be told to bowl attacking lines. He is too defensive and probably for a reason, he has been playing alongside Bhuvi and other trundlers along with poor/ out of form spinners for India and then the terrible Mi attack. Will give him b-o-d


I want to see Bumrah bowl full length inswingers or unplayable outswingers at full pace rather than the yorker, odd variation and limited over short of length type bowling.

True.

 

Bumrah is just trying yorkers these days and hence he has become predictable. It's like he is just going through the motions and not thinking. His yorkers will be far more effective if he mixes them with vicious bouncers. 

 

While Umran keeps the batsmen guessing ax to whether it will be a yorker, bouncer or a skiddy stump directed ball. He tries all those deliveries like an expert.

Bumrah is still bowling those but batsmen are ready...  Batsman are backing away to make room against Umran is coz of his accurate shoulder height bumpers...  That makes his fuller length balls & yorkers even more dangerous.  He is playing with them & using his brains. 

 

Bumrah can't get banana swing like Boult..  Even Boult uses short stuff many times.  So does Hazelwood.   Bumrah is eliminating one genuine wicket taking ball. 

I was amazed to see Bumrah bowling zero bouncers in SA test series...  When likes of Jansen Rabada Ngidi who were all slower than Bumrah...  Scaring the sh*** outta our batters.  Someone has to tell him to get those bouncers back.  BGT 2018..  Bumrah was bowling quick & using his bouncers very well.  No wonder Bumrah of 2018 was beast in ODI & T20s as well.

That's why batters are backing away &,  making room expecting a short or quick shoulder high rising ball.  Umran knows this & bowls a quick yorker or fuller length ball.

I thibk booms is afraid of reinjuring his back. Hence no bouncers in LOI. He is reserving them for tests. That how I see it but if that's the case he can piss off from LOI. 

Honestly we don't need him in LOI.

Watched 1 over bro. Decent pace quickest ball was around 144. Need to see him bowl more to see what skills he has.

He is not bowling them in tests as well.  How many bouncers do u see Bumrah bowl in SA?  In fact none of the Indian bowlers bowled many.  They all kept bowling on the legs to Elgar or bowling full attacking wickets.

first test they did. 2nd and 3rd they kept kissing the surface constantly. actually they bowled bouncers in the 3rd test but pitch got flatter and flatter after every innings. Our shitty useless puke worthy batsmen did * all on a flatter surface when it got easier to bat. 

 

as for your bounce question, it was such strange tactics indeed. i mean in india i saw bumrah back to bowling mean bouncers. wrong lengths in s.africa especially test 3. 

also having unfit shardul dint help. siraj injury. umesh kept spraying the ball. 

look at how ngidi and jansen supported the main bowlers. 

 

i already made an early prediction that we would lose 2- 1 to them because of our bad selection calls. *ing prasidh would have terrorised that little midget pipsqueak peterson. also peterson was out when it 50/2. not given thanks to home umpire bias. van der dussen was clearly caught rofl. how was that not out.

In SA,  Bumrah bowled quite a few bouncers and so did Siraj till he got injured. 

 

Shami, who is rather prolific with his bouncers, was just pitching the ball up. Very few bouncers.

 

What was missing from all the 3 quicks was getting bounce with hard length balls ... which Bumrah got a lot earlier and Shami did with some back of a length stuff.

He is just 20, hopefully will get quicker. Needs to increase his run-up length a bit.
