Bhuvi has become totally condition dependent bowler these days, if the pitch does not offer any swing upfront and not gripping in middle over he finds hard to take wkt or contain.

Isn't it the case with literally every opener? That's how T20 mostly is.

Someone with a better technique probably may not have got clean bowled, would have adjusted for 1-2 overs. 
But yeah, given the kind of pitches being dished out in the IPL coupled with this joke of a ground size, I would take such aggressive openers every time in this format.

This is why T20 stats of bilateral series or league games can be misleading .. because most big names don't play with intensity.

This is reducing his chances of taking wickets.
