That 90 mph yorker has not been used by him even once in this IPL. That 88 mph bumper is usually missing too. This was always the risk. He’s lost his ability to bowl consistently quick by being overly selective (with bowling intensity). Bowling at 145 should not be a massive effort if he was in his usual rhythm. He should either ask for rest or if he plays, he should bowl at high pace. Edited April 30 by MK55 vishalvirsingh and express bowling 1 1

Bumrah should be rested and should only play ODIs in England followed by 2 tests in SL. No need in other T20 and ODIs in between MK55 1

Even for an allrounder, you have to have around 135k. Hardik, for all his abilities hasnt been serious enough. Hence about time we get a replacement for him. Anyway both Hardik are Dube are in early 30s, at max 2-3 years and they will be like SKY.

Bowling fast is a habit. Once a pacer decides to pick and choose the matches he wants to be quick in, he will eventually lose pace. Bumrah should rest if he feels that workload management is needed. And bowl atleast 135 to 145 k if he decides to play. crictime, MK55, Mosher and 1 other 3 1
express bowling Posted April 30 Author Posted April 30 Both Ashok and Prasidh sidelined completely after 1 bad over. Not even in the Impact Subs for 3 or 4 games. Washed up Khejroliya in the Impact subs ahead of them. And why no Gurnoor Brar ? Need4Speed, Mosher and rollingstoned 1 2

Gt has no batting , they have tried to add batting with what ever resources they have <-- Holder can bat and bowl and Arshad can bat and bowl. They do not have proper t20 batters apart from buttler and even in the full squad they have no reliable batter. So they are adding some1 who can bat and bowl hoping it does not deplete the bowling much and add bit more to batting Edited April 30 by tapandrun

Pandya has been horrible in this season of IPL, but has shown ability to do well in crunch situations in critical World Cup matches, so we should persist with him.

Rightarmfast Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I think bowling fast is a habit when you are in your younger years. Once you have crossed a certain level of finesse in bowling skills and age, you got to bowl smart. Wasim never bowled above 138ish-140, but he was quite a bowler. You got to give it your all when you are playing real international games, and it depends which format is your priority. I think Bumrah has his priorities pointed, he wants to be a top Test bowler. I'd rather see him bowl deadly deliveries in tests at 140ish, than see him break down in the middle of his career. Your body is not a robot that you can abuse at will. The more you stretch it, the more repercurssions it will have, and that's a given! Sandz, rollingstoned and tapandrun 3

It was only after diabetes he lost his pace. Even then he clocked 143 in 99 wc and 137 in 2003 wc

Speed reference can only be given post 1999, from when speed guns came into effect. And by then, Akram was never a 142+ bowler. And you say Akram bowled at 150? In which case, please share the details of the matches, and quote the official recorded speed, either youtube or officially recognized speed. Please do that. If you can't, then don't claim something which you can't substantiate.
