Firstly, try to comprehend what is written. Don't jump to replying. Did I say he was not capable of bowling quick? Speed reference can only be given post 1999, from when speed guns came into effect. And by then, Akram was never a 142+ bowler.

And you say Akram bowled at 150? In which case, please share the details of the matches, and quote the official recorded speed, either youtube or officially recognized speed. Please do that. If you can't, then don't claim something which you can't substantiate.

You can check county matches in 90s where speed guns were there. Broadcasters like benuad and cozier called him quick. Sunny during india today conclave said wasim bowled 90 miles during 1987. Even viv and lara admited wasim was difficult with to face with pace and angle

Come on Akram bowled 142-150 from 1988-1997 he was geniunely quick in early 90s. It was only after diabetes he lost his pace. Even then he clocked 143 in 99 wc and 137 in 2003 wc

Akram never bowled 150 infact his fastest ever recorded is 145,don't get confused by quick arm action

Atta ur rehman had a lightening rotor arm action but was a bonafide trundler

I did not make the claim that he did not bowl at 150 ever, and neither that he bowled at 150 ever. You refuted my post, the onus of proof is on you. Please honour your words and give me real solid proof!

Don't run away with rhetoricals here.

Arshad bowled  135 k to 144 k in FC Cricket too this season, isn't it ?

Yes, amongst LA pacers Arshad, Mukesh Choudhary, Naman these are ones who can bowl 140+ kmph

Tough to watch a single game when all we see are trundlers around.
Likes of Nandre Burger and Archer are playing game after game, but zero for Yudhvir or Sushant.
No wonder we are getting beaten like street dogs in Test.

Akram wasn't a150 kph bowler in 1992-93 the Australia pakistan series in Australia had a spees gun the commentator s called it speed machine, waqar repeatedly crossed 150kph but wasim was145-148

Which series was this though ? The only series that had a speed gun in that era was a tri series in South Africa and Akram was clocked at 145 kph.

I have no doubt that Akram may have bowled a bit faster but I don't think there's any recorded speeds of him bowling at 148 kph

Decent pace even from Deshpande today. Clocking upto 142 kph

It's a very skiddy surface and bowlers are going flat out and not holding back

Deshpande definitely quicker this season than previous 2 seasons

Adding bhuvi to this list is not fair, but here are top trundlers of ipl can understand why team go for Harshal and Sandeep they are gold standrads  , but whats in the rest ???

Yes in IPL teams looks to cut out those extra 10-15 runs but if they invest in some high pace high potential bowler they can develop 1-2 good intnl level bowlers and may a #1-#2 bowler for their own side.

Player Matches Wickets Bowling Average Economy Strike Rate
Bhuvneshwar Kumar 199 215 26.40 7.68 20.61
Harshal Patel 122 151 24.32 8.92 16.36
Sandeep Sharma 142 151 28.15 8.12 20.80
Jaydev Unadkat 116 114 30.74 8.94 20.62
Avesh Khan 81 92 28.63 9.18 18.71
T. Natarajan 71 71 32.13 9.08 21.23
Mukesh Kumar 39 41 33.59 10.51 19.17

That difference in bounce , apart from 5-6 kph pace, makes Hazlewood a ridiculously tough bowler to face .

It's what our bowling attack lacks when we tour Australia and South Africa.

The likes of Bumrah get about 85 cm bounce from a length but Lungi,  Jansen type bowlers get about 95-100 cm from a good length and are near unplayable

Deshpande's speed vary a lot.

He is prone to weight gain so suddenly he will start trundling at 130kph.

Yeah but he looked trimmer with more lean muscle mass recently.  But you're right.  He can easily gain that weight again

Pacers, who have played most of their cricket in the 2010s, will have much lower ERs.

Yea, plus Bhuvi & Sandeep played lot of cricket for SRH, where the pitches were low scoring during Warner time.

There were matches when even 130 was defendable

Can’t put them in the same category. Bhuvi is a 130-140 swing and seam bowler.

sandeep is a 120-130 slower ball/ knuckleball/ variations bower.
