not here to defend him. but play the ball not the man. we need characters that speak their mind even if it makes them unpopular. test cricket has always been the format that decides the best side beyond any shadow of doubt over a series. why would you not want to play to that? why diminish it?

The question is..would he have made this statement if India had won this match? Probably not cos he’s a hypocritical sod.

It doesn't. Both teams don't bat or bowl under same conditions. Toss makes a difference too.

That’s a different discussion. He did kind of hint at it before the test ...one game won’t define us etc.

^ There is allways alternative solution which may look more justifiable and reasonable to some. For examole someone may ask whynot make it 2 home 2 away and one neutral venue. Or why only 3, make it five and so on. 
 

This game was final, Kohli should have taken it like a final. But he decided to tell the press before start of match that he doesn’t agrees with format. 
 

If you effin don’t agree, why did u oarticipate and played for 2 years, you should resign from captaincy and join ICC board and make the format. As a captain, expectation from you is win trophy.

Those advocating more than one match, ie 3 match and all. For example team 1 won 2 matches in a row, what will be fate of third match?  
 Whole world will be laughing and criticising ICC and organisers

Had it been t20,I would hav still agreed with him. But a test match is not 20 over affairs. You get enough opportunity to make comeback in test. If you get outplayed every day in 2-3 days of a test which dint even last for 5 days. What's the guarantee for other 2 test performances. Anyways a final match shows your temperament to handle pressure and tough situations you got thrashed not just ones but so many icc tournament .So stop embarassing yourself and resign aur baksh do Indian cricket ko you dumb clown.

with the current state of ind batting, a 3 test series would have led to NZ winning 3-0 (or 2-1). Jamieson would have only gotten better and better against shoddy Indian batters.
