He looked good with the strokeplay but he was very boring batsman actually. These srilankans and to some extent Pakistanis are weird, they can play a brutal 60-70 ball 100 one day and play a painful 20(90) ball innings and look like plodders the next, case in point guys like Misbah,Razzaq,Ijaz Ahmed or even guys like Tharanga etc.

Also why are your poll options different from your post? I was going to take issue over having someone like Sanga who was a great batsman but never enjoyed him watch bat over VVS Laxman.
