India wins 3/3 medals today. Archery continues to disappoint in the paralympics as well. Tomorrow India's shooting contingent starts. Hopefully they do better than their non-disabled colleagues.

India 1 medal away from equalling its best tally in 2016 and 1984 of 4 medals.

 

2016 there were 2 golds though. Hopefully we should go way past 4 medals if the number of favourites are to be considered.

There are so many categories of events - a little hard to understand. A bit sad that noone follows this much though. These folks are just as if not more passionate than those who represent their countries in the Summer Games - but there is almost 0 coverage worldwide.

Gujarat government has announced rs 3 crore monetary award for her. Well done, its a life changing amount for disabled people

The bronze has been put on hold as someone has protested the disability classification of Vinod Kumar. 

 

Apparently a decision will be taken tomorrow.

Wow.. what a superb start to the day.. this is what we were expecting from the Shooting contingent in the non-disabled games as well. Avani equals the world record on her way to the gold. Good on her!

Devendra is in Silver position in a Javelin throw event with another Indian Sundar Gurjar in 4th position in the same event with 2 throws to go.. hopefully more medals to come. Already this contingent has blown past previous attempts...

Devendra is the current WR holder in this event. Hopefully he can find it in him to pip the Sri Lankan in first place for gold in his remaining throws.

Swaroop Mahavir has qualified for the finals in the 10m Air Rifle event. Not sure when the finals will be held.

SL has blown past the WR set by Devendra by 4m - so unlikely Devendra or anyone else will pip him to the gold. Devendra has already better his WR effort. Indians in Silver and Bronze position in the event.
