Swaroop finishes the initial part of the final in 2nd place 0.8 pts behind the leader... goes to the elimination phase now.. hopefully he can make up the difference with the Chinese leader

Makes it up with the first shot with a bulls eye... Chinese guy gets a 9.8 and both scores are tied... long way to go - but lead is down now.

In the pole position with a 0.1 lead after the second shot in the elimination.

Cements his lead to 0.5 with a 10.3

Crap - in 2nd again to the Chinese guy by 0.1

Bulls eye- 10.7 ... best score possible on a shot.

 

Hopefully should gain him back the lead.

See-saw battle for first place between Swaroop and the Chinese guy.

Follows up with a 10.5 - great shooting.. hopefully should get him a good lead. Usually a pt of 1.0 is insurmountable with a few shots to go. Currently with 5 players left (and 10 shots to go) Swaroop has a lead of 0.3. Very close.

Crap - 9.9 - should lose the lead and allow the others to catch up. Bad time for an average shot. 10.0 and above is par at this time. Hopefully the Chinese guy messes up as well. Yup he does with a 9.6

 

The Korean who qualified with a WR is in second place with a perfect bulls eye - 10.7. Swaroop has a lead of 0.5 with 1 shot to go to eliminate 5th place.

Another bad shot from Swaroop 9.5.. takes him to 4th place while the others score bulls eyes... In danger of getting eliminated now without a medal! What a turnaround!

Needs a 10.5 or better to medal.

4 medals today ... with 1 near miss. 2 more potential medals in the Javelin event in the evening session. Both Indians are WR holders in their categories for the event.

Thankfully these super humans get same rewards as our Summer Olympians.
