they just ran through last season , stories n arcs that needed seasons were done in 1-2 scenes which is why it didn't feel organic. 

This actually needed few more seasons to wrap up things properly

Hate to wait for seasons. Did that for Homeland/Billions. Unless, it is like Bosch and others where there is one story per season . Prefer to binge watch
