They have already secured 2 precious points against India, with three matches to go against Afghanistan , Namibia , Scotland and another against NZ.

If Pakistan wins against Namibia, Scotland, Afghanistan they will secure total of 8 points.

There will be a loser between India and NZ, if India loses that match they will be virtually out of the tournament with only matches left against minnows and 6 points on offer. India will have to win every match from here onwards

If NZ loses against India, they will have to win all the remaining matches to be on par with India and Pakistan at 8 points and even maintain a better run rate.

Pakistan has won with a decent run rate of almost +1 so they are the favorites to go to the Semis now.

One thing I know for sure. This will be talked up as the biggest victory for Pakistan against India by their fans and experts. The fact remains that they are a struggling side and a single streak ending cannot change that fact.

Having said that, they do deserve credit for the victory tonight.

Deserves a spot -good bowling attack, explosive top 3 and most importantly a calm and cool captain who can handle pressure..

Agree about everything but the explosive part. Pakistan are mostly through if they don't fk up big time but their openers are hardwired to chase these 140-150 totals, if in any match the score is upwards of 175 they will become liability

I think we made 200+ against england and chased 200+ vs SA.

Our top 3 in t20s is lethal
