Should Rizwan open for Pakistan in ODIs?

Imam has been decent for us but he has his limitations as a batsman.

I think with Rizwan being successful in T20s, there is no reason why he should/cannot open in ODIs where he can stay long at the crease.

Rizwan's highest List A score is 141* and FC best of 200+ indicating that he can play big innings as well.

Fakhar and Rizwan can also provide left-right hand combination at the top which is very important.

yes Fakhar and Rizwan will be good .. with modern day oneday playing  need power hitters who can take risks with some sensible batting from the other side.

They can switch roles depending on their comfort. With Babar switching is not possible he is more like tuk tuk sarma in his current form, need time.

Whatever, but don't bring back Sharjeel, that's enough.

Was so impressed with him in his Debut match. Had so much flair while batting.

Late bloomer and their internal politics didn't help his case either.

Not a bad option. Imam starts slow but cannot cash in even when he's well set. In the match where Fakhar scored 200 against zim, he scored run a ball 100. Total passenger in this era

I was big fan of sharjeel, but he lost the plot with fixing.

Fakhar and Rizwan seem to be the best options for us.

Looking at his game, he is more effective up the order than down the order.  Also he has no starting troubles. He doesn't get out first ball first over. But he shouldn't be batting beyond 8 or 9th over.  Babar is the one who can swap himself with Fakhar.
