zen Posted November 14, 2021 Author Posted November 14, 2021 A half hit SDP out batted the Tuk Tuk brigade in the games v seeded teams in the group
Pollack Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 It is not tuk tuk brigade vs Pandya. Every non casual cricket fan is frustrated by tuk tuk brigade of Rohit and Kohli. That doesn't mean Pandya isn't sh!t. Pandya is a sh!t batsman who cannot bat and due to injury he cannot bowl. So he is useless as simple as that. Need to work on his fitness, improve his batting and then come back. Cricspin and Rantzz 2

A fiction created by those with a limited depth on cricket and fed to other such like minded groups. Best Ind batsmen v seeded teams MoS in Aus 2 90s in Aus ODIs. Avg of 100+ when the next best avg was in the 50s and so on sarcastic and Adamant 2

Pros: If the team wants, no bowler needs to bowl for more than 2 overs A major T20 tournament can be won by big hitting lower middle order. If we have more such players at various spots, it increases the chances of more of such players having a great tournament and/or contributing in some random order, increasing tournament winning capabilities Specialist can be considered for a couple of spots if they bring in pace bowling skills and/or 360 degrees batting abilities Teams like Eng play many such players Based on these criteria, below is the such an 11: Kishan/KL/Pant/Samson (wk) V Iyer - can bowl Jaiswal - can bowl leg (but may need to improve his bowling) Sundar - can bowl off-spin in PPs too SDP (c) Jadeja Samad - needs to improve his bowling Tewatia - bowls leg spin Thakur - if bowling well Harshal D Chahar Other options Axar Dube Krunal Unadkat - threw his hat in "the bowler who could bat too" ring and so on Specialist players that can be considered include: Bumrah for pace Malik for pace Siraj for swing Natrajan for yorkers Tyagi for pace SKY for 360 degrees batting abilities When someone spends this kind of time writing vs about multi skilled players I only draw one conclusion. They have no idea what competitive sports is and are clueless about anything but cricket. Open your eyes and smell the coffee.

Did jack sht against the top teams in the group. He cannot hit fast bowlers, which means his limit is medium pacers of Afghanistan, Namibia, Bangladesh and so on. Now before you go on a tirade about his heroics in a pointless bilateral series last year, keep in mind he scored those runs against Maxwell, zampa and Hazelwood. He scored 24(27) against Cummins and 15(16) against Starc in that legendary series. He came in when fast bowlers finished their beginning spells, milked the spinners and part timers, managed to score some boundaries against Hazelwood and tuk tuked against Cummins and Starc. That is not quality. If he had to open the batting and face 10 overs of cummins and starc, he would have swung and miss a bunch of times and got out. He struggled to even put bat on ball against rauf and Shaheen and could only score boundaries through bottom edges and overthrows. Stop trying to use silly filters and hype up a minnow bashing hack, you can open hundred threads to slyly hype pandya and still convince absolutely zero people that he was good in this wc. He was a failure like all other Indian batsman, accept the reality and move on sarcastic and Lord 2

Walked in and took 17 off Afridi including creating pressure for overthrows Steadied ship v NZ ... Came in at 48/4 and then again had to rebuild at 70/5 35 off 13 v AFG

Kohli steadied the ship against Pakistan and even scored a 50, why isn't he considered successful? Counting overthrows as batsmans talent is the most inane argument you made so far, I sincerely hope you are trolling for the sake of your sanity

If a batsman plays 4 balls where he gets 2 4s of leg byes for e.g, hits a 4 and gets out ... Ppl would see cheer it as 12 off 4 balls not as 4 off 4, crediting the batsman

Ofcourse only pandya gets credit again. If Pandya playes tuk tuk innings, only talk about steadying the ship in that match. If pandya manages to bottom edge a boundary, only talk abt sr in that match, even if its inconsequential 11(8). Call this quality analysis and open dozen threads about this

Would I have liked if SDP had scored 100 off 24, yes? Was what it did in those circumstances bad, no? Saying not bad does not equal giving credit!
