It's not even about bilaterals being useless and tourneys being everything. The problem is we literally look invicincible in bilaterals only to sink without a trace in tourneys. But I have a lot of hopes from the Ro-vid regime. Hopefully they come good. Results wise so far so good. Selection wise, not so much. Throw some money in the IPL, you will see the same Mcclenaghan singing the praise of Indian cricket. He is out of favor in the IPL, so he is freely making these comments. Regarding changes in selection, it is anyway too late to prepare for the 2022 T20 WC. Realistically, we should be looking to win the 2023 CWC from here with a clear strategy and roadmap set.

But I think what he wanted to say is lot of Indians tend to get very sentimental when their idols are not treated at the pedestal level like they put them. For e.g., when Maria Sharapova said to some random interviewer, "Who is Sachin Tendulkar", Indian media went very frenzy and clamouring how can she say that and blah blah. Sachin may be God for Indians but not everyone in the rest of the world may even know him too. raki05 and SujitPrakash 1 1

I personally don't think T20 WC 2022 is a lost cause. Lot of people are over-rating Aus for the next WT20 but in those big grounds, we stand a very good chance. Won't be suprised if our spinners (finger & wrist) do well. kirkutfan 1
