2 genuine out and out fast bowlers, 2 of the best ever all rounders and 3rd best spinner of all time all in the starting XI

 

leadership: leaders everywhere in Botham, Kapil, Viv, Dravid , Kane, Kumble and even Stewart. Ultimately settled for a guy who won WTC and is a very likeable guy who will be the best suited to control all the stars in the team.

genuine slip fielders to catch the edges of the quicks

 

an all rounder 12th man who come in when needed depending on conditions

12th man has no role if he doesn't play. A XII should be flexible, able to change with conditions.

Watched this a long time ago. These guys were definitely faster than what is posted here (a different speed calculation methodology perhaps) but I guess a lack of today’s level of protective equipment meant that even at 135-140 kmph, they were more challenging to face than they would for batsmen with today’s gear:

if we say, 140-149 as fast and 150 or higher as express: 
 

In your 11, only Lillee can be termed as fast based on historical accounts. He lost pace after his injury (was out of cricket for some time if I am not wrong). Garner could bowl fast occasionally but was more 130s and known for the awkward bounce he could generate and of course the yorkers.
