Some blames to be given to the coaches. Teen fast bowlers sometimes try too hard to generate pace  while their body still not matured enough yet, and they end up with leg or back stress fractures. Its  coach's job to advise the young quick.

Salaudeen is a big miss for this u19 squad.

Bangla India Poyzz & Aussies are generally title contenders..  Windies also produce few freaks outta nowhere.  I am expecting two Asian Finalists again.  Age fudging is rampant in Bangladesh & especially Pakland.  Only gora teams play by the rule book. Looking forward to see Afghan Uncles as well

fast bowlers to watch?

Interesting for us laymen... but for the powers that be the equation for the forseeable future is Bumrah + (Shami + Ishant) + Umesh. Maybe Bhuvaneshwar if he gets fitter in there.

Everyone else is outside looking in from a distance.

he does have potential as an AR, but has a long way to go in both disciplines.

India generally have the best, most developed youngsters in these u19 tournaments, weirdly enough the transition to the next level has not been that great for the last few batches.

I guess, finding one or two exceptional talents works better at that level than a well rounded team.

For Pakistan I want to see how Zeeshan Zameer goes, he is very sharp.

sidharth yadav’s article

https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/shopkeepers-son-siddharth-yadav-in-india-u-19-one-of-many-from-small-towns-7682677/lite/

All these articles show, the journey of a typical indian cricketer & the struggles, sacrifices they go through, still with many children followj g this path , only a handful get through if they are lucky enough..

this was true in general, but not for this WC. If we make it to SF, I would consider it pretty good.

India’s team will play its first tournament as a team, till now they were competitors.. i feel their preparation is not up to the mark, they just get one tournament to build the team spirit, analyse the best batting / bowling combinations, will be a challenge in just 2-3 games.. Hopefully Kanitkar & other coaches are working overtime to sort this issue.

Bangladesh beat india a/ b but one thing to note is that it was bangladesh full strength & india’s split teams & even though India B lost badly in the finals, the real fight was given by India A to bangladesh & lost both matches which could have gone either way, will be interesting to see when these two teams merge what comes out of it, hopefully it’s a positive development, but still i feel less tournaments as a team to prepare for the world cup..

Will toygers produce good fast bowlers in the future?

Not sure, but they have been producing decent fast medium bowlers..

Ankrish Raghuvanshi is one of those undeserving players, coming through basis uninspiring performances but has some connections ( his coach is abhishek nayyar from mumbai)… he hasn’t done much to warrant a selection, rather somebody else would have made more sense like Ansh Gosai or Uday Saharan..

Also i feel they have gone with a bowler short, Garv Sangwan has taken wickets but goes for runs a lot.. not sure if he was the right pick for the world cup.

Ravi Kumar is a left arm swing bowler, but has had an average domestic tournament

On the spinners & spinning all rounders, there is quite a bit of sameness in the attack, wonder why they could not find a single good leg break spinner or somebody un-orthodox..

1) Vicky Ostwal left arm tweaker
2) Manav : Off spinner
3) Amrit Raj upadhay : Left arm tweaker..
4) Kaushal Tambe : Left arm tweaker
5) Nishant Sindhu : Left arm tweaker
