T20 ranking is probably the most meaningless ranking lol ALmost always openers will have better rankings.  And oppositions generally field C grade, D grade players in bilaterals.  Australia lost 5 T20 series in a row before coming to world cup. They went home with the cup.

Even ODI rankings are useless these days. When was the last time you saw a team play a genuinely full strength ODI side for a bilateral series? 

 

Babar azam statpadded like no tomorrow against dross bowling attacks of  South Africa and England. There's no way he's better than Rohit and Kohli (even the current kohli) in 50 overs  cricket.

Yes due to limitations of the period. If you time a couple of decent performances perfectly you can enter into top 10 easily like Rahane did. Make some runs just after cut off period. Even one series is enough to catapult into top 10.
