Of course, he has only played as opener in Aus, Pak and UAE. He might not do as well in swinging conditions in Eng or NZ.

Facing SL & WI bowlers on Indian pitches is tougher than facing Pakistani bowlers on highways. Pak doesn't even have a single half decent spinner. It's all SSA or bust.

The first test against SL was a batting paradise...especially first innings.

 

Even one test against NZ was super slow.

 

Oval test was unbelievably flat.

 

Kohli just kept failing.
