First it has to hope that both RR & LSG lose their final game against CSK & KKR respectively. Second, it would need to beat MI by around 13 runs or chase the total to cover those through NRR if batting 2nd. That's a good possibility too because 13 runs is again assuming LSG and RR lose both their matches in final ball of the match. Delhi's NRR is +0.25, LSG +0.26 and RR +0.30. There may be a scenario where by getting to 8 wins DC gets to #2 as its NRR would automatically improve, while the other two's automatically deteriorate depending on the nature of loss. zen
In a long tournament esp. involving round robin games, there can be a last minute "drama" because the form & conditions can change. Here there are two major scenarios for a drama - a) DC finishes in top 2 (since most expect either RR or LSG to be at #2), and b) KKR ( or such a team) qualifies (DC or RCB qualifying at 3-4 is not a drama anymore) Edited May 16, 2022 by zen

zen
As for SRH, apart from other results going its way i.e. DC & RCB losing, it would need to beat PK by a margin in the region of 126 runs Edited May 17, 2022 by zen

If it is 180, SRH would need to chase it in 11-13 overs If DC, along w/ RCB, loses by a big margin, the equation would be different
Adamant
SRH is a very good team, they just need to get rid of Williamson. Not retaining Warner was an idiotic move.
Majestic
SRH aren't winning vs Punjab either. They don't have good spinners and that has generally been the demise of Punjab. Punjab batters should enjoy pace except Mayank. Edited May 17, 2022 by Majestic
