that he has, but he doesn't look very comfortable in Ind A FC matches

not convinced about rinku in Ind A FC matches. as for sundar, he is stinking even in ranjis nowadays.

 

I don't think Pant will return. we need to potentially move on from him. he has ballooned massively, and both his fitness and motivation could have taken an irreversible hit.

he has slipped far down the ladder now.

 

want to see more of pradosh paul in Ind A. this fellow can bat in diff positions at diff SRs, can keep, and can bowl both off and leg spin from what I heard (though he mostly bowls offies)

I agree about Pant, I think too many on here think its a Bollywood movie where the hero always wins.

 

Pant has endured horrific injuries to such an extent he cannot even keep, this being now over 12 months since his injuries.

 

His ability to recover from such injuries is going to be an achievement, let alone batting at 1st class level, then playing at international level.

he may become a low stamina player well suited for cameos. In T20s, he has a lot of limitations if the ball is kept away from his scoring zone. And in Tests, he will lack the stamina. I think he will become a IPL player (occasionally T20Is) and ODI player, and will play as a specialist batter

Patidar missed his chances and there is slim chance of him getting more chances.

 

Team management should give time for Rahul   to.recover and select Padikal in next 2 tests ,he will bring variety as he is a left handed batsman

I am still not convinced about Gill or KL. But one or both of them will be around.

 

as for back-up batters, we should look at Sai Sudharsan, maybe Devdutt Padikkal (big ? though), pradosh paul (?), rinku singh (?). need more top order players as you said. A pity that Shaw completely destroyed his own career. otherwise, shaw-jaiswal combo could have been really explosive
