A lot more should play in county cricket. Esp those in India when no domestic cricket is happening

good idea, but counties do not seem to chase Ind players that much. in contrast, I see many random Pakistani players on the circuit, aside from those who are int'l players

I am told BCCI is reluctant to give a NoC esp those twho play in T20 tournaments as it affects the IPL brand value.

They are afraid the Indians will learn quickly and adapt. When they tour India, the players will be more accustomed to their conditions and make it hard for England to beat India. Either that or bcci just doesn't want to send players over there due to some stupid policy they in place. IPl too.

no... that only happens if there is a WILL by the Indian players to go out of their way to improve their technique in English conditions.

At the moment all the focus of Indian 'Stars' is IPL and brand endorsements and advertisements. Overseas first class domestic for improvement jaye gaan* marane inke bala se. After failing to win a single test series in England since 2007 ( which was before the IPL's formation) shows what the priority is for the BCCI and TM

Indian cricketers aren't rated in these conditions given our ordinary test results there.

We drew 2-2. Should have been 3-2 tbh or even 4-1 if we finished last year. Rain ruined first game.

Australia drew here lost time. Haven't won in England since 2005. Paxtan do ok.

It's hard to beat a home side in a 5 test series. If we played 2 or 3 test series like other minnow teams then we would have favourable results too.

I dont even know why we play 5 vs englund.

last yr we did superbly ,but generally it's a struggle to win anything in eng

Cause we never prepare. Never. 2014 and onward we stopped preparing. We never do warm up games vs county sides.

England when they tour India India come with prep in say lanka or Bangladesh before facing India. They are ready. We still kick their ass in India but that's a different story.

We play 5 tests because ECB gets more moolah. They used to play only 3 tests as we were poor. Once India won in 2002, they have been benovalent

Don't think we won't in 2002. It was a draw 1-1. We did perform well though.

Caddick flintoff Harrison Hoggard giles

Pretty good bowlimg

I meant a test win. Before 2002 , the last time we won even a test was in 1986. After 2000, BCCI is very rich and they want a piece of the pie. Hence, allotting more tests to India. 1999 was a 3-test series in Australia. Since then we get 4 tests and India reciprocate with 4 tests.

Washington Sundar for Lancashire. If he is fit, they could have played him in WI bench series

why?

Unlike Gujara, Sundar is playing for Lancashire and is in Division 1 better teams and better matches- so let him gain experience of bowling and batting in English conditions as we need a replacement for Jadeja at some point. WI tour is a joke and not needed at this stage

WI is still preparation for WT20s and 2023WC. He has to be in the selection circles. wi can still compete in T20s.
