remember Rohit getting out lbw to mathews back to back odis? it was a frustrating period but we all knew he will do well.. credit to MS & others.. 

Cut to today's times.. we have Gill, Pant and Shaw who have to be persisted with atleast in two formats.. they will do well.. while Shaw is not even under the reckoning, once the top three trio retires Gill and Shaw should be slotted in top 3

while persistence is usually associated with younger players, I would hope TM does that with SKY in ODIs.. this guy is not just a special player, he can rise to the occasion in knockout games.. him & Pandya can be a game changing pair.

Yes, patience is key. Deepak Hooda got solid backing from Gambhir during the IPL and the benefits are being reaped by the Indian team as well.

But what is the deal with Shaw? This is the only forum he is disssued on, TM has completely ignored or forgotten him? What are the chances of making his way back into the team?

SKY, Shaw, Prasidh Krishna, Pant (in ODI's/T20's) and Sarfaraz ( if he ever gets a chance) for me.

Totally!  While SKY is not "young", he has just arrived on the scene, is fit and talented, and most importantly, has a team-first mindset. They have to persist with him. But I am afraid he is just a placeholder for one of VK/KLR when they return.
