Openers lost their heads a bit, especially Smriti pulled a Sachin 2003.  This was a gettable total not a super-big one.  If she hadn't thrown her wicket, we could have chased this down with balls and wickets to spare.

But it happens.  Smriti is a brilliant batsman who has won a lot of games for us.

Top heavy sides go through this. In T20 lower order is more important as you can turn the game on its head with late order hitting.

A good start would have made our life a hell pf a lot easier. Harmanpreet looked very focused.

44 off 30 balls. 7 wkts. You dont need lower order hitting. You need common sense. Thats it. Out if 30 balls 4 easily goes to boundary and it did for india. India didnt hold their nerves..

Nope Australia played like good team in this Commonwealth Games but they were quite beatable unlike we saw in the past.

Maybe you never watched either India or Australia this tournament which is why you think this. I knew even 160 odd would be hard. Both in hockey and cricket a gold medal against the Australia would be unexpected more than not.

Which is why I asked over here if this is commonly chased in the womens game. In the mens game this is now straightforward.

Have seen india and australia league match and even australia in past few tournaments where they were almost impossible team to beat. This team (which played in commonwealth games) was quite beatable.

Well as far as the womens game is concerned this Aussie women's team is pretty darn complete. We didn't do too much wrong in the league match either but still lost it handily. Our only other hope was to outclutch them today.

Ture... Australian team of today was average..Although they were brilliant in field, there was palpable tension in their camp when Kaur and Jemimah were playing..India even triggered the collapse in first innings which isn't the case with Australia usually...They are ruthless
