nevada Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Mohammed Shami has reportedly been told by the BCCI selection committee that he would not be considered for selection in India's T20 team. However, Shami is set to remain an important figure in India's ODI and Test teams.
Prabhdeep Singh Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Probably a good option in Australia, also with Harshal Patel probably out. Also was part of the winning IPL team. Bumrah B Kumar Arshdeep Shami Others: D Chahar S Thakur Avesh Siraj
Majestic Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Good news. Shami was always a poor T20 bowler. I am unsold on Siraj too. He also seems to be suited to ODIs and Tests mostly. A wicket taker and a match winner on his day but can lose you matches with poor bowling and leaking plenty of runs too. Bumrah, Bhuvi, Arshdeep and Deepak Chahar are the only decent options we have. Barring Bumrah, none bowl 140+. Rest are not reliable in T20s. Lord 1
Cheetah Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 So is it safe to say after finishing Ashwin's ODI career in the CT17, Pakistan finished Shami's T20I career at the T20 WC ?

In our a regional language there is a saying "kakka utkara panam palam viluntha kathai." . Story about a crow thinking that palm fruit fell down from tree just because it sat on it. zen Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 Shami in form is a match winner in any format … In the near future, Ind could see bowlers such as Moshin & Umran playing the leading role in T20s but there could be a slot for an experienced bowler where Bumrah, Bhuvi, & Shami can be rotated based on form and fitness. Of course likes of Siraj, Arshdeep, Harshal, D Chahar, Prasidh, etc. would also be considered for the 3rd pacer slot nevada 1
