Buddy, even based on the information that you have, I am surprised that anyone would try to spin an unlikely tale of someone possibly oversleeping due to aiding a sick member. You have the information where Hetty agreed to play in the WC and when WI board gave him time to make necessary arrangement, including telling him the importance of not missing the flight. (if only Hetty services were needed at home, he is not expected to reschedule his flight in the first place to play a series).

No one will even watch Asia XI v Australia.

Asia and west Indies are not comparable because Asia is very big . There are many nations which don't have any similarity . On the other hand many carribbean nations are very small islands in which people are similar racially religion wise and language wise. Once these people were dominating world cricket.

 

I think main reason is decline in interest of cricket especially after Their success in athletics.

The main cricket nations in Asia are India,Pak,SL, BD. Very similar cultures and excepT SL, languages are similar too.

 

They were dominating because they produced quality cricketers and there were no leagues they could go to. Most of them played Packer cricket too.

India Pakistan are enemies one  of biggest nuclear flashpoint . Most Indians don't want to play cricket with them .

 

Even with BD Indians feel no brotherhood. Comparing these nations with carribbean nations is joke which are as similar as districts of UP
