Shimron Hetmyer has been dropped from West Indies' squad for the T20WorldCup after missing his flight to Australia

Hetmyer should show professionalism. If I am not wrong, his flight was rescheduled once by WI board. He missed his rescheduled flight as well as he is said to have slept through.

Hilarious.. the league's all over the world have made the WI cricketers not bother about the Windes cricket anymore. The full strength WI team with likes of Russel, Narine etc would have been a formidable team atleast in T20.

Not fair to comment without knowing what personal problems or constraints he had. No one wants to miss a WC, but respect for Shimron if he chose personal commitments (who knows - illness or a sick dear one) over his career.

the constraint he had was that he slept through  to catch his “rescheduled” flight.

Perhaps he was up all night tending to an ailing family member.  I don't know, nor do you.

But all he had to do was communicate clearly to the team. And, if it was a legitimate reason, the team could've been a bit more understanding.

At any rate, we're all just speculating here.  No one knows the details.

There is NO scope for speculation including “I don’t know” so “you must not know too”.

Use Google search  to understand the issue!

Good point.  I took your advice.  All I could find is that he asked for an extension and they refused.  Why he needed the extension, even Google doesn't know.

Perhaps he just partied all night.  Or perhaps he was in the hospital taking care of a family member.

Whatever - it's not the end of the world for Hetmeyer - hopefully, all is well with him and his family.  And it is not the end of the road for the Windies - they have enough guys who can tonk the ball.

Do a proper search. Don’t spread wrong information based on assumptions.

because its not a country.

No one will even watch Asia XI v Australia.

Agreed,  captains like Worrell and Lloyd fought very hard to create unity and purpose of playing for WI without getting any help from administration then also..They did succeed to large extent but these days their whole administration has fallen so low and there is no coordination between players and administration.
