Why did Pandya slow down in 2nd half of his inning v Pakistan?

After playing so much on UAE and Indian tracks then suddenly if one has to switch to a rising MCG pitch ,it needs time and adjustment.

He took time but couldn't make the Adjsutment,also Pakistan Pacers were too good tbh.

He'll settle in surely and will do some self assessment, must've known by know what mistakes he was making

He was struggling. In one of the post match interview alongside Kohli he said both of us were struggling and kohli hit those 2 sixes of Rauf and released a lot of pressure.

That I agree completely.He  really did a great contribution in last game and though he was not able to hit at the end but he dint loose his wkt till the end after 43-4 . That 100 run partnership with Kohli was major factor in our victory.

Same length was bowled by haris rauf to pandya in UAE where the bounce was not this high. He was able to get on top of it and hit for 3 fours.  I think haris rauf tried the same in world T20 semi final against Stoinis and he mowed him for six. MCG kinda made haris rauf look better than he is.

Also, along with pace,those were tight lines so not able to get room either.  even kohli wasn't able to get the timing right for straight shots down the V to rauf a few times.

At chest height if the ball comes at you with great speed it is hard to control.  By the way no other Asian team has better short ball specialists than India has. SKY also pulled Rauf infront of him before getting out to a well directed bouncer. Taller guys are likely to do better against such bounce.  India doesn't have any tall guy. KL Rahul is the tallest i think.  Pandya is slightly shorter than Rahul. Stil tall enough. But he was beaten for pace as well.

Mcg made haris look better than he is ? Haris is one of the best in white ball cricket across venues now.

based on raw numbers even Bhuv is one of the best lol. I have seen only a few times. Once against SA in the warm up where he was thrashed around by RVD. Then Stoinis took him on. Then Pandya.  Even in this match in a crunch over in a crunch moment he was destroyed by Kohli. HOnestly i rate Shaheen Shah Afridi more than him. Well above him.
