I am being honest here and this will shock most Indians reading this, but most Australians dont or really havent cared about this WC. Even if they were doing well, the timing is all wrong. This WC was badly timed, not sure who is responsible for this. Australia or ICC? WC in Australia should have been held in December or January. World cup football probably played a role?
Chalks Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Dec-Jan is peak test period in Aus (encompassing the Melb & Syd tests in particular). So this tournament was always going to be held before (Oct-Nov) or after (Feb-Mar). This Feb-Mar Aus are going to India for BG Trophy I think? Everyone is looking forward to the Australia v South Africa series. RSA haven't played tests in Melbourne and Sydney since 2008/09, and they've rarely played tests at Gabba recently also.

If they win, it is because they have a better team. If they lose it is because of BCCI. Make up your mind. Why play a country that thinks the game is phixed. That actually makes it sweeter no ? I mean nothing compares to reading the rona-dhona on PeePee after a sound thrashing ... priceless .... the best rona dhona happened after Mohali epic ... some havent gotten over Tendlya's lbw. It gets tiring. Then you have BD bitching. Play teams that can handle a loss.

What it is and you have to be a local here to understand is that the Rugby and AFL season just ended in end of September. Fans need a break from long footy seasons that go for like almost 6 months. In Australia it takes us a few months to warm up to the cricket, which is why the WC should have been held in Dec-Jan which is the peak season here. vvvslaxman 1

Both teams need to be grouped based on rankings and the method should be explained in advanced. I am tired of playing losers and complainers all the time. That goes for BD too. They still are not over the some fake no ball. Dont know about you but for me the best part about win against BD is the after-loss crying. Norman 1

Their disgraceful post match behavior is just part of the issue. We should not be having regular cricket matches with that country given their support for terror on Indian soil. People are dying regularly and barely days later, a cricket match goes on, as if all is well. Khota 1
