Lone Wolf Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) Rohit VK KL Dhawan Boobie, Chahal, Shami Ashwin Jadeja have been part of multiple KO chokes since 2014.. Personnel are the problem I think. As Baz once said if u can't change the man, CHANGE THE MAN. We have the depth needed to overhaul the side in an instant. Hire a brand new LOI coach & build a entirely new team with a new Captain & fresh or semi old faces. Shouldn't be hard Edited November 10, 2022 by Lone Wolf
R!TTER Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) It's in our genes - maybe you were too young but some of us have seen the heartbreaks of 99 Chennai, 2003 WC & a tonne of tri/multi lateral trophies lost under both Ganguly & then Dravid. I don't wanna piss on MS' legacy but he was at the right place just at the right time & that's why we won the 2007 WT20 & 2011 WC, otherwise had we faced peak Oz even under MS we'd have been scarred for two more generations! He was an above avg captain in LO but generally more astute than someone like Kohli or RGS. Edited November 10, 2022 by R!TTER Stan AF and Vijy 2

I also think we had a chance in the 2003 WC - but the bowlers for some reason in that fateful final in Johannesburg bowled like they were in a hangover from the previous night. A 2003 win would have been similar to 1983. Edited November 10, 2022 by AKane Vijy 1

Right now these guys seem good enough at bilateral level but not 10% of it in ICC events. Pakistanis have also choked in multiple ICC events in last decades but still they seem to be turning a tide since CT17 win.

Because Pakistani have been exiled and ousted for so long that they feel as if they have something to prove to the world. meanwhile our prima donnas are giving statements like strike rate is overrated, one knock out match does not define your career. Other than the top 3 no one else is given assurance that even if they fail they will get a consistent run. Pant plays two matches in the top order then no matches and then he sits out 4 matches in the group stages and then has to play in one group match and a high pressure matche. bishnoi who bowled so well and who even works hard on other skills get randomly dropped while losers like chahal are picked over and over again despite showing no improvements and constantly choking against bigger opponents. these selectors select a young player for t20 series and then for a odi series and then he’s never seen again. raki05 and Lone Wolf 2

Lord Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Don't worry we'll win some bilaterals till WC 2023 with same guys doing well and all will be forgotten. Only for similar performance in WC And then they'd be like 'One game can't define us' Lone Wolf, Vijy, raki05 and 3 others 4 2
R!TTER Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Yes that's why I said he was lucky & at the right place just at the right time. Either side of our big wins we faced relatively mediocre oppositions, yes not our fault, but the point is when we went against better oppositions like Oz (2015 WC) or even SL in that WT20 we got demolished rather easily.
