This petty act by the groundsman is something I cannot get behind if he did that on purpose. If they didn't want to allow Aus practice sessions on such wickets, they could have asked bcci officials to handle the negotiations part. I don't think aus would have created a scene had some bcci official denied them. Sabotage is a low blow.

 

This is pathetic & I hope case of sheer incompetence...  And not malicious.

you accuse indian groundsmen of doctoring the pitch


your stalwarts talks about indians cheating over pitches and making grave for left handers

 

you get blown away in the same pitch where Ind score 400 ( indian lefties score more than your second innings and Shami scores more than all except labu) and now you want to practice on same pitch??

 

Rohit Shettys Golmaal franchisee makes more sense than this request.. All the Best but this is not a Cirkus..

Also the matter is after the match, Australia wanted to practice on the pitch. Post match. To practice for the 2nd test match. The Nagpur cricket stadium authorities agreed and gave them permission.

When the Australians went to the ground, they found that the pitch had been fully watered, making it unusable. They had to abandon their plans to train on it.

 

Heads need to roll....  BCCI should take action.

Foxnews cricket is less reliable than garbage Indian media.  Lets not assume that what they are claiming is true.

I would be piss** af if Aussies pulled something like this if we were on tour.  @sandeep

when indian team in aus went to have food in a restaurant in aus their mayor called them names. Accused indians of breaking rulee when none of it was broken. Yahan to groundsmen ne sirf paani daala hai pitch pe. Plus this. Read their hypocricy

 

India's superstars were crammed into tiny hotel quarantine rooms with no room service while AFL players relaxed by the pool and celebrities skipped it altogether - so why IS Australia treating cricket's biggest names this way, asks MIKE COLMAN

they are a stickler for rules - remember, denying the ATG Djokovic entry because of their policy. 
 

why bend rules for them. They are not particularly kind when we tour.

I'd see no issue if they are given poor food or Hotels or anything... 

But this is highly unusual.   Teams are very much allowed to do this in the past.  

Its not a favor but a general practice. 

Aussies gave us two practice games (including D/N one) & unreal relaxations including coming with family in peak Pandemic. 

 

This I am expecting is not BCCI but State Association's fault. 

If CA Pushes for this I expect BCCI to take action on Incompetent staff. 

Either they should not have allowed Aus to practice in the first place... But they did & failed on their promise.
